A stunningly renovated space

The Shed is part of the magnificent World Heritage site of Darley Abbey Mills dating back to the early 1800’s. The Shed has been lovingly restored and converted from a Cotton Polishing factory, creating a magnificent setting for food and drink. Outside seating alongside the River Derwent with views of the historic mill bridge.

Originally built as a cotton spinning mill, the building played an important part in history and the industrial revolution. The stunning space has been renovated from the bare bones upwards while retaining all the original industrial architecture of the 1800’s. Think magnificent vaulted ceilings, exposed brick walls and striking cast iron columns and beams.
